Hays is a native and lifelong resident of the Greenville area, and has worked in commercial real estate since January 2008. His interests are in raw land, as well as commercial and industrial properties.Having attended The Citadel for two years, he graduated from Presbyterian College in 1974. In June of ’74, Hays began working with The Compressor Corp. of America which sold cleaning equipment to the textile industry. In 1978, with his father and brother, he started The Reynolds Company, a manufacturer of water-based and hot melt adhesives for diverse mix of end-users all over North America. Their facility is still located in the old Poinsett Mill, a renovated, former cotton mill in West Greenville. Hays and his wife have three grown children, all of whom live in the Greenville area.
