Charleston, SC
3:15 hour drive from Greenville, SC
Folly Beach – 225 Miles
Often referred to as the “Edge of America”, Folly Beach is the closest beach to downtown Charleston, allowing you to split your time between the beach and downtown. A true old-fashion beach town, Folly Beach is one of the more popular spots for surfing in the area.
Isle of Palms – 225 Miles
Located north of Charleston, the Isle of Palms is much more upscale than Folly Beach. The isle is a popular vacation spot, the area hosts many resorts and golf courses along the beach.
Beachwalker Park, Kiawah Island – 235 Miles
Beachwalker Park is a popular destination for nature lovers; the area is bursting with wildlife! Outside of the beautiful beaches, the island is made up of maritime forests, ponds, and sand dunes.
Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach – 250 miles
Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the USA. The shoreline is scattered with piers and boardwalks full of restaurants and attractions. Outside of the beach, there are literally hundreds of different activities for visitors to do if they want to get out of the sun.
North Myrtle Beach – 260 miles
The north side of myrtle beach is a lot quieter with fewer attractions, making it a lot more ideal beach for people looking to relax.
Garden City – 260 miles
If you head south of Myrtle, you will find Garden City Beach! Garden Beach, much like North Myrtle is much more laid back than Myrtle Beach. Much of the beach area is located on a narrow peninsula, which allows for beautiful views in any direction you look.
Savannah, GA

Tybee Island – 260 Miles
Located 30 minutes from downtown Savannah, Tybee Island has plenty to offer its visitors.
South Beach is the most popular of the group. The soft sand and mild waves make it perfect for families. South Beach has the most amount of parking.
Mid Beach “The Curve” coast is mostly made up of hotels and rentals. This makes it a lot less popular than South Beach, keep in mind that there is only street parking.
North Beach is perfect if you enjoy walking the shore to find seashells or like to read a book on the beach. North Beach is the closest beach to Downtown Savannah.
There are also two River Beaches on Tybee Island that are the perfect place to launch a kayak or get away from the crowds to watch a sunset.

Wrightsville Beach – 315 Miles
Wrightsville Beach is a great place for a weekend getaway! Many people claim that Wrightsville Beach is the best beach in North Carolina. The crystal blue water makes the area great for surfing, paddle boarding, and other water activities.
Carolina Beach – 320 Miles
Carolina Beach is a fun beach town! Whether you want to swim, tan, surf, or walk on the boardwalk there is something for everyone at Carolina Beach. The beach has a lot of live events and festivals that happen throughout the year.
Kure Beach/Fort Fisher – 325 Miles
If you enjoy a little bit of learning with your fun, you should consider Kure Beach/Fort Fisher. You can visit the Civil War-era Fort Fisher State Historic Site or North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
